Initial consultation

Free 15-minute telephone consultation to discuss what brings you to therapy and explore if CBT would be helpful to you.
This is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and for you to check if you feel I am the right therapist for you.
There is no obligation to make a decision or commit to booking an appointment at that stage.

If the difficulty you are experiencing is not something I can help you with or if there is a more appropriate approach for you, we can discuss what other options there are and signpost you to a service or professional that may be better suited to support you. 

Individual CBT sessions

Initial sessions will be to learn a bit about you and the difficulty you want help with. We will then aim to develop / increase our awareness of the factors that maintain the problem and keep you stuck. We will set goals for therapy to have a clear direction of what we want to achieve. At a pace that will be right for you, we will reflect on how things are, start implementing changes and practice doing things differently.

During therapy we will aim to review our progress to help us remain focused and consider if there are other things that would be beneficial to consider. At the end of therapy we will reflect on what we’ve learned in our sessions. The aim is to enable you to become your own therapist: to have a better understanding of yourself and your difficulties, build on your knowledge, and maintain gains made through our work together

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is the provision of psychotherapeutic services in the context of a sexual, romantic or marital relationship. It focuses on the support to deal with problems faced by a couple and aims to help us develop better understanding of ourselves and our partner, get in touch with our deeper feelings, cultivate inner security, and make important decisions where this is necessary.

CBT supervision

I can support you through your training or your practice as a qualified CBT practitioner.
I offer supervision individually and in groups. Please get in touch for more information or to discuss your individual circumstances.
